There are occasions when an employee must use their own vehicle for City business. If this situation should arise, due primarily to lack of an available pool vehicle, the employee’s direct supervisor must authorize the use of the personal vehicle in advance and the Mayor must subsequently approve it. Proof of insurance on the vehicle must be presented, with completion of the appropriate form, for reimbursement at the same rate as permitted by state regulations.
