Employees shall be allowed to examine their personnel file upon submitting a request to do so to the Human Resources Coordinator. Such request shall be submitted at least three work days in advance and shall be in writing.
The time for reviewing the file shall be determined by the Human Resources Coordinator, except that the time shall be during regular office hours. The Mayor and/or department head may be present during the review.
Employees will be allowed to submit written explanations or rebuttals to any inaccuracies of documents contained in the file, which written explanation shall remain in the file. Reprimands more than two years old may, at the employee's request, be removed, providing that the employee has received no other forms of discipline during such two-year period.
