When the use of sick leave is due to an illness in the immediate family, “immediate family” includes only the employee's parents, spouse, domestic partner, child or any other relative residing with the employee. When the use of sick leave is due to death in the immediate family, “immediate family” includes only the employee's parents, spouse, child, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, half-brother, half-sister, step parents, step children, step sibling, aunts, uncles or other person residing with the employee at the time of death.
