121.08 PAYMENT OF MORAL CLAIMS.
   Where the Mayor determines that in the interest of fairness and justice that the City should make a payment by way of moral claim where the City would not otherwise be obligated, the Mayor is authorized to cause the payment in an amount not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) per claim. Payment of any moral claims shall not be interpreted to compel the City to pay similar moral claims in the future. Said moral claim may include payment to a resident household where the Lake County Department of Utilities has authorized a leak adjustment to the household. Said claim shall be paid from the Fund determined most appropriate by the Director of Finance.
