1371.02 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter:
   (a)   “Owner” means the individual or entity that intends to own and operate the small wind energy system.
   (b)   “Rotor Diameter” means the cross sectional dimension of the circle swept by the rotating blades of a wind powered energy generator.
   (c)   “Small Wind Energy System” means a wind energy system, as defined in this chapter that is used to generate electricity, and has a nameplate capacity of 100 kilowatts or less and is as high as necessary to capture the wind energy resource without exceeding the maximum heights allowed.
   (d)   “Tower” means a monopole, freestanding or guyed structure that supports a wind generator.
   (e)   “Tower Height” means the height above grade of the fixed portion of the tower, excluding the wind turbine itself.
   (f)   “Total Height” in relation to the wind energy system means the vertical distance from the ground to the tip of a wind generator blade when it is at its highest point.
   (g)   “Turbine” means the parts of the wind system including blades, generator and tail.
   (h)   “Wind Energy System” means a wind generator and all associated equipment including any base, blade, foundation, nacelle, rotor tower, transformer, vane, wire, inverter, batteries or other component necessary to fully utilize the wind generator.
   (i)   “Wind Generator” means equipment that converts energy from the wind into electricity. This term includes the rotor, blades and associated mechanical and electrical conversion components necessary to generate, store or transfer energy.
