1359.03 PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND DATA FOR RESIDENTIAL POOLS.
   Plans, specifications, and pertinent explanatory data required to be submitted in connection with an application for a permit to construct a residential swimming pool or any alteration, addition, remodeling or other improvements thereto shall comply with this chapter and the following plans and information, as well as such other data as may reasonably be requested by the Chief Building Administrator.
   (a)   Plans shall be drawn to a scale of not less than one-eighth inch per foot, indicating all materials and methods of construction and indicating property dimensions, including the length, width, and depth of the pool and width of the pool deck. Grade and drainage plans must be submitted to the Building Department prior to construction where modifications in grade of 3 inches or more occurs at any location on the property;
   (b)   A profile plan showing the same information;

   (c)    All pools shall be located in the rear setback of the property. No pool shall be constructed, installed, or erected on the side of any main building or in front of any main building setback line or shall it occupy an area greater than ten percent (10%) of the rear lot area and be not closer than ten feet to any sideline or rear line, or closer than ten feet (10') to any structure. No deck or walk area shall be allowed within five feet (5') to any property line; (Ord. 2009-061. Passed 6-9-09.)   
   (d)   The kind, number, and size of filters, including motor specifications;
   (e)   The type, design, and location of enclosing fence, or, in the case of above-ground swimming pools, the type, design and location of the access ladder, protective railing, and walkway deck;
   (f)   Description and plan of lighting facilities;
   (g)   All pool equipment shall be blocked by fence or vegetation from public view.
   (h)   All pool equipment shall be located a minimum of 15 feet from neighboring windows and doors or shielded with an approved sound barrier such as a fence.
   (i)   Type U.F cable is not permitted for motor equipment.
   (j)   Follow current addition of the National Electrical Code, Ohio Residential Code, International Fuel and Gas Code for additional requirements.
