1347.18 MARINE RECREATION DISTRICT SIGNS.
In a Marine Recreation District, all business or manufacturing uses that are permitted shall be governed as to signs by the preceding sections concerning business and manufacturing enterprises. No free-standing signs shall be permitted unless the frontage as required for free-standing signs on a dedicated street actually exists. In all cases, free-standing signs must be located not less than twenty-five feet from any residential lot line and at least be twenty feet from the river's edge.

This sign shall be reviewed by the Architectural Board of Review and shall not be any larger than thirty-two square feet, with a maximum height of twelve feet to the top which includes six feet to maintain a clear view area from the ground. Landscaping is required around the sign in compliance with the design standards for the Marine District. Illumination of the sign is permitted by means of indirect ground lighting only, or internally illuminated. No neon signs are permitted. All construction of the sign shall meet Ohio Basic Building Code and National Electrical Code requirements. No sign may be erected to cause a safety hazard. Design standards for signs for the Marine District are on file in the Building Department.
