1309.08 APPEALS.
   Any contractor whose application for annual renewal of his certificate of registration has been refused by the Chief Building Official or whose certificate of registration or annual renewal thereof has been revoked by the Chief Building Official may appeal the refusal or revocation to the Zoning Board of Appeals. The appeal shall be perfected by giving notice of such appeal to the Chief Building Official by certified mail within ten days of the refusal to renew or receipt of the notice of revocation. Upon receipt of the notice, the Chief Building Official shall notify the Zoning Board of Appeals of the appeal in writing at the next regular or special meeting of the Board. The Zoning Board of Appeals shall set the appeal for hearing at the next regular meeting of the Board. Notice of the time and place of the hearing shall be given to the contractor by the Board of Zoning Appeals by certified mail directed to the address appearing on the present application form of the contractor. The notice of the hearing shall inform the contractor that he may appear at the hearing and present evidence to support his appeal. The Zoning Board of Appeals shall hear all parties and witnesses for the contractor and the Chief Building Official and after the hearing shall either affirm, modify or reverse the order of the Chief Building Official by majority vote of the members present. Notice of the decision on the appeal shall be given to the contractor by certified mail directed to the address appearing on the current application of the contractor. (Ord. 1967-193.
