A fee shall be charged for each permit for the installation of fire protection systems, the amount of such fee to be determined according to the following schedule:
(a) All new or existing buildings or structures or additions or replacements, for each contractor.
(1) Base fee per system as defined in the OBC, commercial: $100.00.
(2) Base fee per system, residential: $25.00.
(3) Fire suppression system, per head: $2.00.
(4) Fire suppression system other than water base systems, per head: $2.00.
(5) Hood fire suppression system, per hood: $5.00.
(6) Fire alarm or smoke detection, per device: $1.00.
(7) Stand pipe, per hose outlet: $5.00.
(8) Installation of piping, per 100 feet: $2.00.
(9) Each item not listed: $5.00.
(10) Add required State of Ohio fee, commercial 3%, residential 1%.
(b) Additional penalty fees, the following penalty fees shall be imposed at the discretion of the Building Administrator or Building Official:
(1) Where work is begun without first obtaining a permit and paying the fee as indicated above, the applicant for a permit shall be charged a fee of up to triple the amount of the fee indicated in this section.
(2) Reinspection of same item: $50.00.
(3) Inspection called and appearance of inspector on property and work not ready or not completed: $50.00.
(4) Work covered without inspection: $100.00.
(5) Where a contractor is not registered with the City: $100.00.
