A fee shall be charged for each permit for H.V.A.C. inspection, the amount of such fee to be determined according to the following schedule:
(a) Residential Heating and Air-Conditioning, for one, two and three-family dwellings: All new buildings or structures or additions for each contractor:
Base fee for all new one, two and three-family dwellings: $50.00.
Also, per 100 sq. ft. of floor area, including garage, basement, and all floors: $2.50.

(b) All other residential, one, two and three family dwellings, alteration(s) or replacement(s) to existing H.V.A.C. system.

(1) Each furnace replacement: $10.00.
(2) Each air conditioning replacement: $10.00.
(3) Combined furnace and air conditioning replacement: $15.00.
(4) Each rooftop unit: $ 15.00.
(5) Relocate air duct, each: $1.00.
(6) Each additional ductwork/baseboard: $1.00.
(7) Each kitchen hood: $5.00.
(8) Each exhaust fan: $5.00.
(9) Each gas space heater, gas pool heater: $5.00.
(10) Each gas fireplace: $15.00.
(11) Each gas boiler: $15.00.
(12) Gas piping, per 100 feet: $2.00.
(13) Each oil burned equipment: $10.00.

Base fee: $100.00.
(1) For each single tenant space and each multi-dwelling buildings.
Per $3.00 per 100 square feet or fraction thereof.
Add required State of Ohio fee, commercial 3%, residential 1%.
(2) For each building with multiple tenant space(s), shell construction only, base plus the following:
A. Each main gas meter: $10.00.
B. Each furnace: $10.00.
C. Each air-conditioning: $10.00.
D. Combined furnace and air conditioning: $15.00.
E. Each rooftop unit: $20.00.
F. Air duct, per 100 feet: $2.00.
G. Each base board: $1.00.
H. Each kitchen hood: $5.00.
I. Each exhaust fan: $5.00.
J. Each gas space heaters, gas pool heaters: $5.00.
K. Each gas fireplace: $25.00.
L. Each gas boilers: $25.00.
M. Gas piping, per 100 feet: $2.00.
N. Each oil burned equipment: $10.00.
O. Each item not listed: $5.00.
P. Add required State of Ohio fee, commercial 3%, residential 1%.
(d) All other commercial and including industrial, and multi-dwelling buildings, alterations or replacements to each existing H.V.A.C. system:

(e) Additional penalty fees: the following penalty fees shall be imposed at the discretion of the Building Administrator or Building Official:
(1) Where work is begun without first obtaining a permit and paying the fee as indicated above, the applicant for a permit shall be charged a fee of up to triple the amount of the fee indicated in this section.
(2) Reinspection of same item: $50.00.
(3) Inspection called and appearance of inspector on property and work not ready or not completed: $50.00.
(4) Work covered without inspection: $100.00.
(5) Where a contractor is not registered with the City: $100.00.
