A fee shall be charged for each permit for plumbing installation, the amount of such fee to be determined according to the following schedule:
(a) Commercial Plumbing Including Industrial and Multi-dwelling Structures/buildings and All New Buildings or Structures or Additional for Each Contractor:
Base fee for each new tenant space, commercial, new industrial and new multi-dwelling buildings/structures: $100.00
(1) Plus $2.50 per 100 sq. ft. or fraction thereof.
(2) Plus 3% State of Ohio fee.
Each building with multiple tenant spaces(s), shell construction only:
Base fee: $100.00
(1) Plus 3% State of Ohio fee, plus fees listed below:
A. Installation of new water heater: $30.00 each
B. Installation of new water, new gas, storm or sanitary lines: $ 2.00 per 100 feet
C. Installation of new gas boiler under 199,000 Btu: $30.00 each
D. Installation of new backflow unit: $30.00 each
E. Installation of each new trap/fixture: $15.00 each
F. Item(s) installed not listed: $ 5.00 each
(b) Alterations or Repairs of All Non-residential Buildings/structures and Multi-family Four (4) Family or More Buildings/structures:
Base fee for alterations or repairs of all non-residential buildings/structures and multi-family four (4) family or more buildings/structures $50.00
(1) Plus 3% State of Ohio fee.
A. Replacement of new water heater: $30.00 each
B. Replacement of new water, new gas, storm or sanitary lines: $ 2.00 per 100 feet
C. Replacement of new gas boiler under 199,000 Btu's: $ 30.00 each
D. Inspection/Replacement of new backflow unit: $ 30.00 each
E. Replacement of each new trap/fixture: $ 15.00 each
F. Item(s) replaced not listed: $ 5.00 each
(c) Plumbing Plan Review Fee
$ 50.00 each
(d) Additional Penalty Fees. The following penalty fees shall be imposed at the discretion of the Building Administrator or Chief Building Official:
(1) Where the work is begun without first obtaining a permit and paying the applicable fees (s) as indicated above the applicant for a permit shall be charged a fee of up to triple the amount of the fee indicated in this section.
(2) Re-inspection of the same item: $ 50.00
(3) Inspection called and appearance of inspector on the property with work not ready or not completed: $ 50.00
(4) Work covered without an inspection: $100.00
(5) Where a contractor is not registered: $100.00
