A fee shall be charged for each permit for electrical installation, the amount of such fee to be determined according to the following schedule:
(a) Residential Electrical, one, two and three family dwellings:
All new buildings or structures or additions for each contractor:
Base fee for all new one, two and three family, each dwelling: $50.00.
(1) Also, per 100 sq. ft. of floor area, including garage, basement and all floors: $2.50.
(2) Each temporary electrical service, fee charged if dwelling wired by other, no base fee shall be charged: $50.00.
(3) Add required State of Ohio fee, commercial 3%, residential 1%.
(b) All other residential, one, two and three family dwellings, alteration(s) or replacement(s) to existing electrical system:
Base fee, $50.00.

(1) Per outlet, including lighting and switch: $1.00.
(2) Each 220 volt outlet: $5.00.
(3) Each air-conditioner: $5.00.
(4) Each disconnect or safety switch: $5.00.
(5) Each generator: $10.00.
(6) Each main electrical panel: $5.00.
(7) Each main electrical service, meter base: $5.00.
(8) Swimming pool pump, motor, heater, receptacle (each): $5.00.
(9) Each new electrical line for hot water tank (prior gas fed, plumbing permit also required): $5.00.
(10) All other items not listed above: $1.00.
(11) Low voltage, communication, security and fire alarm wiring, per device: $1.00.
(12) Add required State of Ohio fee, commercial 3%, residential 1%.
(c) Commercial Electrical, including industrial, and multi-dwelling buildings:
All new single; buildings or structures or additions for each contractor:
Base fee $100.00
(1) For each single tenant space and each multi-dwelling building,
Plus $3.00 per 100 square feet or fraction thereof.
Add required State of Ohio fee, commercial 3%, residential 1%.
(2) Each temporary electrical service, fee charged if building wired by other, no base fee shall be charged: $25.00.
Add required State of Ohio fee, commercial 3%, residential 1%.
(3) For building with multiple tenant space(s), shell construction only, base plus the following:
A. Each main electrical service meter, 400 amp and under: $10.00.
B. Each electrical panel, 400 amp and under: $10.00.
C. Each main electrical service meter, over 400 amp: $20.00.
D. Each electrical panel, over 400 amp, $20.00.
E. Each roof top, H.V.A.C. unit: $10.00.
F. Each furnace: $5.00.
G. Each air conditioner: $5.00.
H. Each disconnect or safety switch: $5.00.
I. Each 120 volt outlet, light fixture, light switch or device: $1.00.
J. Each 220 volt and over, outlet, light fixture, light switch or device: $2.00.
K. Each disconnect or safety switch: $5.00.
L. Low voltage, communication, security and fire alarm wiring, per device: $1.00.
M. Each item, not listed: $5.00.
N. Add required State of Ohio fee, commercial 3%, residential 1%.
(d) All other commercial alterations or replacements to each existing electrical system:
Base fee: $100.00.
(1) Per outlet, including light fixture and lighting switches: $1.00.
(2) Each 220 volt outlet: $5.00.
(3) Each disconnect or safety switch: $5.00.
(4) Generator, 15K and under: $10.00.
(5) Generator, over 15K: $20.00.
(6) Motors, 5 H.P. and under: $5.00.
(7) Motors, over 5 H.P.: $10.00.
(8) Each main electrical service meter: 400 amp and under: $10.00.
(9) Each electrical panel, 400 amp and under: $10.00.
(10) Each main electrical service meter, over 400 amp: $20.00.
(11) Each electrical panel, over 400 amp: $20.00.
(12) Roof top H.V.A.C. equipment, each unit: $25.00.
(13) Furnace or air conditioning, replacement (each), other than rooftop units: $10.00.
(14) Swimming pool pump, motor, heater, receptacle (each): $5.00.
(15) Each item not listed: $5.00.
(16) Low voltage, communication, security alarm wiring, per device: $1.00.
(17) Add required State of Ohio fee, commercial 3%, residential 1%.
(e) Additional penalty fees; the following penalty fees shall be imposed at the discretion of the Building Administrator or Building Official.
(1) Where work is begun without first obtaining a permit and paying the fee as indicated above, the applicant for a permit shall be charged a fee of up to triple the amount of the fee indicated in this section.
(2) Reinspection of same item: $50.00.
(3) Inspection called and appearance of inspector on property and work not ready or not completed: $50.00.
(4) Work covered without inspection: $100.00.
(5) Where a contractor is not registered with the City: $100.00.
