Where parking lots abut public sidewalks or any building, suitable barriers of a type approved by the City shall be installed to prevent any vehicle from extending into the sidewalk area or from striking such building. A construction drawing or plan showing the number of barriers, proposed type, method of installation and exact location shall be submitted for approval prior to the installation thereof. All barriers shall be permanently anchored and/or installed, and must be maintained in good condition at all times, including painting thereof if of wooden construction. (Ord. 2003-019.
