741.20 ICE CREAM TRUCK REGULATIONS.
   Any ice cream vendor licensed under Section 741.02 shall have his truck safety inspected by the Division of Police prior to soliciting. Along with the usual items viewed for vehicle safety, the truck shall also be equipped with a sign that protrudes on the traffic side of the street warning motorists when it is stopped and selling frozen confections. The truck shall also be equipped with six eight-inch flashing lights that will be activated when vending is taking place. The rear of the truck shall be equipped with a sign saying "Slow Children" or "Caution Children".
   Ice cream vendors may only solicit business on the streets of the City during the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and at no time shall the ringing of any type of bell be permitted, the playing of music or sound of chimes.
   The truck shall be occupied with two employees at all times. One employee shall wear an orange fluorescent vest and be responsible for crossing children across the street before and after their purchase has been made.
   The truck may not be used for business until satisfactorily passed by the vehicle safety inspection. If cause is brought forth by any citizen or police officer, it may be reinspected. Furthermore, all ice cream vending trucks shall display the company name prominently on each side and the rear of each truck. No license shall be issued to any ice cream truck vendor until proof is displayed that each truck has liability insurance in a minimum amount of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000).
