In the event of a fire within the City, a firefighter, police officer, or employee of the Public Works Department may order that all valves, taps, and stopcocks connected to the plumbing systems of any property supplied with water service by the City be closed and remain closed until the fire is extinguished. Failure to follow such an order shall be a Class B misdemeanor, punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both, as prescribed by applicable Utah Statutes. (1994 Code)
