16-1-350: DAMAGE TO WATER SYSTEM:
A.   Prohibited: Any person who destroys, defaces, damages, or interferes with the operation of any part, pipe, fixture, appliance, appurtenance or property of the Draper City water system or any source of water supplying said system, any substance poisonous to human life or harmful to human health or detrimentally affecting the taste, smell, color, odor, or other aesthetic characteristic of the water shall be guilty of a class B misdemeanor, punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both, as prescribed by applicable statutes of the state of Utah.
B.   Restitution: All damages or injury to the lines, meters or other materials of the city on or near a user's premises caused by any act or neglect of the user or his or her agents shall, in the discretion of the city, be repaired by or at the expense of the user, and the user shall pay all costs and expenses, including a reasonable attorney fee, which may arise or accrue to the city through its efforts to repair or recover expenses for the repair of the damage to the lines, meters or other equipment of the city water system or public works department.
