16-1-330: SPRINKLERS:
A.   Unlawful Use: It shall be unlawful for any person to use such number of outlets simultaneously or to use such sprinklers or combinations of sprinklers or outlets as will, in the opinion of the water superintendent, materially affect the pressure or supply of water in the city water system or any part thereof, and the superintendent may specify by regulation combinations or number of outlets which may have such effect.
B.   Notice: The water superintendent shall, after a determination that such improper use exists, notify the offending water user, or the owner of the premises whereon such use occurs, of such determination in writing and order such use discontinued and advise said person that such continued usage constitutes a violation of this chapter.
C.   Penalty: If the usage described in subsection A of this section is continued or resumed at any time from seven (7) days after notice is given by the city, the offending water user shall be guilty of a class B misdemeanor, punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both, as prescribed by applicable statutes of the state of Utah, for each such unlawful usage.
