It shall be unlawful to knowingly misrepresent a material fact in applying for a water connection. Material facts include the identity of the applicant as the owner of the property to be connected, and the purpose for which the water service thereby provided will be used. Violation of this section shall be a class C misdemeanor, punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both, as prescribed by applicable statutes of the state of Utah. (1994 Code)
