In connecting to a water main, the public works department shall install a connection pipe of suitable quality under the street and a meter box, meter, and stopcock at a location determined by the public works department. Said connection pipe, meter box, meter and stopcock are and shall remain the property of the city, which retains the sole right to maintain, repair, and service said facilities. (1994 Code)
