The issuance of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for violation of any of the provisions of the construction codes or of any other pertinent law, including, but not limited to, the city zoning, subdivision and fire ordinances and regulations. Permits presuming to give such authority shall not be valid. The issuance of a permit based upon plans, specifications, and other data shall not prevent the building official, fire chief or other city official from thereafter requiring the correction of errors in such documents.
