A. It shall be unlawful for any person to disinter any body in the city cemetery except under the direction of the city manager and in accordance with state law. Before disinterment the requester shall provide a fee as determined by the city council by resolution and a written order from the owner of the lot authorizing such removal, which order shall be filed and preserved by the city manager.
B. No body shall be removed where the person has died of a contagious disease within two (2) years of the date of burial, unless the body was buried in a hermetically sealed coffin, which is still intact. (Ord. 728, 11-21-2006)
