4-2-310: REMITTAL OF FINES, FEES AND FORFEITURES:
A.   Except as otherwise specified by law, all fines and forfeitures collected by the justice court shall be remitted, one-half (1/2) to the city treasurer and one-half (1/2) to the treasurer of the local government which prosecutes or which would prosecute the violation.
B.   For violation of Utah Code Annotated title 23, the justice court shall allocate eighty five percent (85%) of the fines, fees and forfeitures to the division of wildlife resources and fifteen percent (15%) to the general fund of the city.
C.   For violation of Utah Code Annotated title 73, chapter 18, the justice court shall allocate eighty five percent (85%) of the fines, fees and forfeitures to the division of parks and recreation and fifteen percent (15%) to the general fund of the city.
D.   The surcharge established by Utah Code Annotated section 63-63a-1, as amended, shall be paid to the state treasurer.
E.   For violation of Utah Code Annotated section 27-12-151 or 27-12-154, as amended, regarding maximum weight limitations and overweight permits, the justice court shall pay to the state treasurer and distribute under the schedule set forth in Utah Code Annotated 78-5-116(4), as amended, all fines, fees, court costs, and forfeitures collected, minus court costs, not to exceed the schedule adopted by the judicial council. Revenue deposited in the class B and C road account pursuant to this subsection is supplemental to the money appropriated under Utah Code Annotated section 27-12-127, as amended, but shall be expended in the same manner as other class B and C road funds.
