There is hereby created the position of city engineer who shall act as the division head of the engineering division within the public works department. The city engineer shall be appointed by the mayor, with the advice and consent of the city council, and shall serve at the pleasure of the city council as an at will employee. The city engineer shall have such duties and responsibilities as set forth in state law and as designated and assigned by the public works director. (Ord. 503, 11-19-2002)
