A. Emergency Vehicles, School Buses: The vehicle weight restrictions of this chapter shall not apply to emergency vehicles and school buses operating upon the city roads. (Ord. 95, 3-8-2007)
B. Weight Exemptions: The mayor or designee may issue weight exemptions for special classes of vehicles and users of city roads.
C. Onetime Trip Permit: The mayor or designee may issue a onetime trip permit to allow for vehicles to exceed the weight restrictions imposed by this chapter for the purpose of providing for vehicle trips which are essential to life, health and safety. Such permit shall be made in writing specifying the nature of the trip, the vehicle to be used and the date and time limit of the trip. (Ord. 95, 3-8-2007; amd. 2017 Code)
