A. Required: No building shall be used or occupied, and no change in the existing occupancy classification of a building or structure or portion thereof shall be made until the building official has issued a certificate of occupancy. Issuance of a certificate of occupancy shall not be construed as an approval of a violation of the provisions of this title or of other ordinances of the City. (Ord. 154, 12-14-2017, eff. 1-1-2018)
B. Site Improvements: Where on or off site improvements are required as a condition of the site plan approval for the subject permit, no certificate of occupancy shall be issued until the City has inspected and provided written approval of all required site improvements, and certified that said improvements have been constructed in conformance with the approved plans. (Ord. 130, 4-24-2014)
C. Temporary Certificate: No temporary certificate of occupancy or temporary certificate of completion shall be issued without the authorization of the City. For minor outstanding required site improvements, such as landscaping, which cannot be completed due to weather or other conditions beyond the developer's control, upon recommendation of the building official and the City, the City may authorize a temporary certificate of occupancy with conditions as may be deemed necessary and appropriate by the City to ensure the completion of outstanding improvements. The temporary certificate of occupancy shall include an expiration date, which shall not exceed one hundred eighty (180) days. (Ord. 154, 12-14-2017, eff. 1-1-2018)
