3-23-2: DEFINITIONS:
For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings:
 
AUTHORIZED OFFICER:
Any of (a) any law enforcement officer employed by the city, (b) the city manager, or (c) the assistant city manager.
EJECTION:
An order given by an authorized officer directing a person to immediately leave Heritage Crossing and not to return for the remainder of the day.
EXCLUSION:
An order given by an authorized officer prohibiting a person from entering or remaining at Heritage Crossing for a specified length of time.
HERITAGE CROSSING:
The city riverfront area located between the Abraham Lincoln Bridge (also known as the Galena Avenue Bridge) and the Veterans Memorial Bridge (also known as the Peoria Avenue Bridge), including but not limited to, all sidewalks, the James G. Burke Pavilion, public restrooms, boat docks, fountain, amphitheater seating, landscaping, chairs, benches, tables and other amenities commonly known as Heritage Crossing.
HOURS OF CLOSURE:
Any length of time Heritage Crossing is designated for closure to the public in connection with an activity programmed or scheduled by the city or by the Dixon Chamber of Commerce and Main Street.
PROHIBITED CONDUCT:
Behavior, conduct or activity at Heritage Crossing described as prohibited conduct in section 3-23-3 of this chapter. (Ord. 3169, 10-7-2019)
