7-7-3: PARKING LOT REGULATIONS:
   A.   General: No parking lot shall be established or operated in any place where such establishment or operation would be in violation of a zoning regulation. No more than one car for each two hundred (200) square feet of area shall be accepted for parking in any such place. Each parking lot shall be marked so as to show the parking place allotted for each car, and shall have sufficient entrances and exits to permit the entrance and egress of cars without obstruction to traffic.
   B.   Driveways: No driveway to a parking lot shall be constructed excepting in full compliance with the provisions of this code to the issuance of permits for driveways; and it shall be the duty of the operator of each parking lot to maintain the sidewalk and parkway over which such driveway passes in good condition.
   C.   Signage: At the entrance of each parking lot there shall be posted in words and figures large enough to be read by prospective patrons a statement of the rates to be charged and of the closing hours. (Ord., 10-2-1950)
   D.   Parking Lot Surface: It shall be unlawful to permit property to be used as a parking lot unless it is constructed in accordance with the building code of the city 1
; and the parking lot shall at all times be kept clean and free from dust or refuse. (Ord. M-48-79, 11-19-1979)
   E.   Overnight Parking: It shall be unlawful to park a motor vehicle or permit a vehicle to remain in any space in any parking lot operated by the city at any time in which the lots are not in operation as provided in subsection 7-7-7C of this chapter except on Sundays and legal holidays and except that residents may park in such lots when the same are not in operation, and except for the provisions of subsection 7-7-6B of this chapter. Any resident parking overnight shall remove the vehicle parked prior to the time the lot opens. Also, this subsection shall be subject to the provisions of subsection 7-3-8B of this title concerning parking when snow is on the surface. The parking lines for each space shall be adhered to in such parking lot in the same manner as is required during other times. (Ord. T-5-00, 6-5-2000)
