The Chief of Police shall enforce the provisions of this Article, except to the extent otherwise provided by Section 22-128.1, et seq. of this Article 15. (M.C. 1963, sec. 20.715 and Ch. 20A.)
If in the course of performance of the enforcement duties prescribed in this Article a police officer shall issue a "warning notice" rather than a "violation citation" to a bicycle operator due to the failure of said bicycle operator to have the safety equipment required by Section 22-121, as amended, installed on his bicycle, said warning notice shall require that the bicycle operator exhibit compliance with Section 22-121, as amended, at the Village of Deerfield Police Department within seven (7) days after issuance of said warning notice. Failure to comply with the foregoing provision shall constitute a separate offense pursuant to this Article, and the bicycle operator in violation of this Section shall be issued a violation citation therefor.
