Sec. 22-101. Trucks Prohibited On Certain Streets:
   (a)   Definitions:
      (1)   A "truck", as used in this section, shall mean any vehicle designed for the transportation of property.
      (2)   A "class of trucks" shall mean any group of trucks which hereinafter may be classified by weight, height, length or width or other common characteristic. (M.C. 1963, § 20.338; amd. Ord. 0-74-39)
   (b)   Prohibited Truck Traffic:
      (1)   It is unlawful to operate a truck having a class F, or greater, vehicle registration on any of the streets or parts of streets located within the corporate limits of the village with the exception of Lake-Cook Road and Waukegan Road, and with the further exception that the operation of otherwise prohibited trucks on any street in the village shall be permitted where necessary to reach a destination point within the village in order to make a delivery or a pick up of goods.    (c)   Restricted Streets: The following streets or parts of streets are hereby designated as streets upon which truck traffic, generally, or traffic of a particular class of trucks indicated is prohibited:
      Corporate 500 Drive, except for trucks making a delivery or a pick up for owners or occupants of the Corporate 500 Centre.
      Deerfield Road between the westerly corporate limits of the village and Waukegan Road (prohibited to trucks exceeding 12 feet in height and whose point of destination on the far side of Chicago, St. Paul and Milwaukee Railroad underpass from the point of entry onto Deerfield Road).
      Hermitage Drive.
      Kates Road between Fountain View Drive and the entrance from Kates Road onto the Corporate 500 property.
      Kipling Place.
      Longfellow Drive.
   (d)   Signs: The village manager shall cause adequate signs to be posted giving notice of such restrictions on truck traffic as are hereby provided. (M.C. 1963, § 20.338; amd. Ord. 0-74-39; Ord. 0-94-41, § 1, 11-21-1994; Ord. 0-02-16, 3-4-2002)
