Sec. 22-91. Putting glass, foreign materials, snow, etc. on highways prohibited.
   (a)   No person shall throw or deposit upon any highway any glass bottle, nails, tacks, wire, cans, or any other substance likely to injure any person, animal or vehicle upon such highway.
   (b)   Any person who drops, or permits to be dropped or thrown, upon any highway any destructive, dangerous, hazardous or injurious material shall immediately remove the same or cause it to be removed.
   (c)   Any person removing a wrecked or damaged vehicle from a highway shall remove any glass or other injurious substance dropped upon the highway from such vehicle. (M.C. 1963, § 20.714.)
   (d)   No person shall shovel, plow or otherwise place snow or cause or permit the shoveling, plowing, or placing of snow, from a private driveway, parking lot, or other private property upon any highway, street or sidewalk so as to hinder, obstruct, impede or otherwise interfere in any way with the movement of traffic upon said street, highway, or sidewalk.
If said snow is not immediately moved or removed by the owner, occupant or agent so placing it on the street, highway or sidewalk after being advised by an authorized official or police officer to do so, then the Village may charge the same with any expenses which may be incurred by the Village in the removal thereof. Such expenses shall be collected by the Village in addition to a fine or penalty as set forth in the Municipal Code of the Village of Deerfield, as amended. (Ord. No. 0-79-18, 4-2-79)
