Any property owner reserving a portion of a parking area for handicapped parking is deemed to have granted the corporate authorities the right to enforce this parking restriction. A "handicapped person" for the purposes of this section shall be any person whose vehicle possesses handicapped license plates issued by the state or who has obtained a sticker for display on said vehicle from the police department of the village to be issued to handicapped persons. (Ord. 0-11-02, 1-18-2011)
(c) All fees and charges imposed by subsection (b) of this section shall be paid to the village treasurer and, upon presentation of a proper receipt from the village treasurer, the person in charge of the village auto pound shall release the vehicle in accordance with the provisions of this section. (Ord. 0-79-22, 4-16-1979; amd. per correspondence dated 5-21-1985)

In the event that multiple spaces in any parking area are reserved for "handicapped parking", one sign identifying the spaces as reserved for "handicapped parking" shall be provided for each group of three (3) parking spaces or portions thereof so reserved.
