(a) If abandoned property is to be sold at a live public auction, public notice of the public auction shall be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in Lake County at least ten (10) days prior to the auction date. Such notice shall include the date, time and place of the public auction and a brief description of the abandoned property to be sold at such public auction.
(b) If abandoned property is to be sold at an internet auction, public notice of the internet public auction shall be published on the Deerfield police department website at least ten (10) days prior to the auction date. Such notice shall include the web address of the auction site, the auction date, a brief description of the abandoned property to be sold and information on how to participate in the internet auction.
(c) Property offered but not sold at any such public auction may be offered and sold at a subsequent public auction without any further notice. (Ord. 0-06-44, 9-5-2006)
