(a) The president of the board of trustees shall be the chief executive officer of the village, and shall perform all such duties as may be required of him by statute or this code or ordinance.
(b) He shall have supervision over all of the employees of the village.
(c) He shall have the power and authority to inspect all books and records kept by any village officer or employee at any reasonable time. (M.C. 1963, § 1.002)
