Electrical Equipment: As used in this chapter shall be construed to mean and include conductors and equipment installed for the utilization of electricity supplied for light, heat or power. Such term shall not include:
(a) Radio apparatus or equipment for the wireless reception of sounds and signals nor ordinary household appliances, such as toasters, vacuum cleaners, washing machines.
(b) Apparatus, conductors and other equipment installed for and by public utilities, including common carriers, which are under the jurisdiction of the Illinois commerce commission for use in their operations as public utilities. (1963 Code § 22.801)
