Sec. 7-36. Definitions:
   As used in this article:
   (a)   Building Contractor or Contractor: Shall include anyone engaged in the business of cement or concrete contracting, either flat, form or wall work; or as a general building contractor; or as an excavation contractor; or as a roofing contractor; or as a plumbing contractor; or as an irrigation contractor; or as an electrical contractor; or engaged in the construction, alteration or repair of buildings or other structures, or sidewalk or street pavements.
   (b)   The term "electrical contractor" as used in this article shall mean and be construed to include any person engaged in the business of installing or altering by contract, equipment and electrical appliances for the utilization of electricity supplied by light, heat or power not including radio apparatus or equipment for wireless reception of sounds and signals, and not including apparatus, conductors and other equipment installed for or by public utilities, including common carriers, which are under the jurisdiction of the Illinois commerce commission for use in their operation as public utilities; but the term "electrical contractor" does not include employees employed by such contractor to do such supervised work 1 .
   (c)   Doing Business As A Contractor: Engaging in the construction, repair or alteration of any building, structure, or street or sidewalk pavement in the village for which a permit is required under this code and the ordinances of the village shall be construed as doing business as a contractor in the village.
