The flood insurance study, and amendments thereto, of the village published by the United States department of housing and urban development, federal insurance administration, is hereby adopted for the purpose of this article and a copy thereof is to be maintained in the office of the village engineer. The flood insurance study includes the flood boundary and floodway map which delineates "A zones" as areas that are susceptible to the base flood, and delineates the floodway, which is the channel of a river or other watercourse and the adjacent land areas required to store and convey the floodwater of the base flood with no significant increase in the height of the base flood. The flood insurance study data shall take precedence over other base flood elevation data for the purpose of this article. (Ord. 0-77-60, 9-19-1977)
