Sec. 5-29. Redemption from pound.
   (a)   The owner of any licensed dog so impounded, or the person claiming to be the owner of any unlicensed dog, may redeem such dog in accordance with the provisions of this Article upon payment of the license fee, if unpaid, and an impounding charge of fifteen dollars ($15.00) plus the cost of keeping such dog for each day or fraction thereof that such dog is impounded.    (b)   All fees and charges shall be paid to the Village Treasurer, and upon presentation of a proper receipt from the Village Treasurer, the person in charge of the Village pound shall release such dog in accordance with the provisions of this Article.
   (C)   Any dog which has been apprehended by the animal warden, any police officer or any person or corporation charged with the enforcement of this Article shall be deemed to have been impounded if, in the opinion of such warden, police officer or person or corporation charged with the enforcement of this Article, confinement in a temporary place of safe keeping is necessary.
