Sec. 5-16. Inoculation Against Rabies:
   (a)   No person shall permit any dog or cat over the age of four (4) months to be on any street or other public place or in any enclosed space other than the premises of the owner of the animal, unless such animal has been inoculated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian within the preceding year. (Ord. 0-85-37, 8-19-1985)
   (b)   The type and brand of antirabies vaccine used and the method of inoculation shall be approved by the department of agriculture of the state and the United States department of agriculture.
   (c)   Any dog which is not inoculated against rabies as required herein is hereby declared to be a public nuisance and such dog may be apprehended and impounded upon the order of the chief of police. (1963 Code, § 19.205)
