No person shall conduct or operate for profit any ferris wheel, merry-go-round, roller coaster, rollerskating rink, giant swing, or any shooting gallery, strength testing device, miniature golf course, quoits game, throwing game, or other similar amusement of play or perform upon any hand organ, barrel organ, barrel accordion, barrel piano, hurdy gurdy, or other musical or wind instrument upon any street or other public place, without first obtaining a license therefor, in accordance with the provisions of this article.
