Sec. 3-24. Sales To Minors Prohibited3:
   (a)   No person under the age of 21 years shall purchase or obtain any alcoholic liquor at any place in the Village where liquor is sold.
   (b)   No person under the age of 21 years shall misrepresent their age for the purpose of purchasing or obtaining alcoholic liquor at any place in the Village where liquor is sold. (Ord. 0-79-82, 12-17-1979)
   (c)   In every place in the Village where alcoholic liquor is sold there shall be displayed at all times in a prominent place a printed card which shall be supplied by the clerk and which shall read substantially as follows:
   WARNING TO MINORS
You are subject to fine up to $500.00 under the ordinances of the Village of Deerfield if you purchase alcoholic liquor or misrepresent your age for the purpose of purchasing or obtaining alcoholic liquor.

   (d)   No holder of a retail liquor dealer's license or their agent or employee shall suffer or permit any minor to remain in any room or compartment adjoining or adjacent to or situated in the room or place such licensed premises are located; provided, that this subsection shall not apply to any minor who is accompanied by the minor’s parent or guardian, or to any licensed premises which derives its principal business from the sale or services of other commodities than alcoholic liquor.
   (e)   No parent or guardian shall permit their minor child to violate any of the provisions of this section.
   (f)   No persons shall sell, give or deliver alcoholic liquor to any minor.
   (g)   No person under the age of 21 years shall attend any bar, to draw, pour or mix any alcoholic liquor in any licensed retail premises.
   (h)   No person under the age of 19 years shall be permitted to serve any alcoholic liquor in any licensed retail premises. (1963 Code § 15.024; amd. Ord. 0-73-59 § 15.024; amd. Ord. O-23-09, 3-20-2023, eff. 1-1-2024)
