§ 130.02 SLAUGHTERING ANIMALS.
   No person shall slaughter, harvest, butcher, and/or dress out any animal within the city limits. Commercial operations involving the slaughtering, harvesting, butchering or dressing out of an animal within the city limits shall be prohibited, unless such commercial operation has been expressly granted a special exception use by the City of Decatur Board of Zoning Appeals in accordance with Chapter 150 of the City of Decatur Code of Ordinances of 2015, as Supplemented and meets the following conditions:
   (A)   Locates in an industrial park within an I-I or I-II industrial zoned area.
   (B)   Operates in an enclosed industrial use as defined within Chapter 150 of the Code of Ordinances of 2015, as supplemented.
   (C)   Limits operations to the slaughtering, harvesting or butchering of cattle and processing of animal products fit for human consumption, with further processing of animal renderings prohibited within city limits.
   (D)   Complies with all conditions of approval and use as set forth by the City of Decatur Board of Zoning Appeals in the granting of a special exception use.
   (E)   Complies with all local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
