(A) Daily rate. The charge for parking in City parking structure shall be $2.00 per day or any part thereof, to be paid through the automated gate system upon entry into the City parking structure. For purposes of this section, a “day” shall begin at 12:01 a.m. and end at 12:00 midnight.
(B) Rental rates. Users of the City parking structure may rent one or more designated spaces in the parking structures at the rate of $20 for spaces inside the parking structure per month, in advance, per space. No refund shall be made for any unused portion of the monthly rental charge. The City reserves the right to negotiate group rates for groups of spaces in the parking structure.
(C) All monthly renters shall be provided a coded plastic pass card for use in the automated gate system. Such pass cards are not transferable and shall be returned to the City upon termination of the rental arrangement for the renter. If any renter requires a replacement pass card, the City shall charge a fee of $8. Anyone failing to return a pass card when required shall be in violation of this chapter, and every day that the pass card is not returned shall be deemed a separate offense.
(D) All monthly renters shall be provided a lease permit card. The permit card shall be displayed in the vehicle's rear window, or if the vehicle does not have a rear window or the permit card would not be clearly visible in the rear of the vehicle, the card shall be displayed on the driver's side dashboard.
(E) If an invoice for parking rental fees remains unpaid after 60 days, the lessee shall be notified of the termination of their leased parking privileges. In addition, the Corporation Counsel, or his designee, shall file suit on behalf of the City to collect all unpaid rental fees and penalties, together with all court costs and reasonable attorney's fees incurred by the City. Leased parking privileges may only be restored upon payment in full of all parking fees, penalties, court costs and attorney's fees.
(F) Removal of illegal vehicles. The vehicle of any person who has not rented a space on a monthly basis and whose vehicle remains parked in the parking structure for a period exceeding 24 hours from the time the vehicle was initially parked may be removed at the owner's expense. A vehicle may be stored in the parking structures for longer than 24 hours at a rate of $2.00 per day, or any part thereof.
(G) Speed limit. The maximum speed limit within the parking structures shall be 10 miles per hour.
(H) All vehicles parking in either structure shall be parked facing into the parking space, except motorcycles which shall be parked according to applicable law.
