This is to advise you that the below listed vehicle(s) that was located at __________________________, Tax Map Reference: ______________________________, was found to be in violation of the Ordinance controlling Abandoned, Nuisance and Junked Motor Vehicles. You were mailed a ORDER FOR REMOVAL on ________, and since the vehicle(s) was not removed according to the order, I have ordered the vehicle(s) removed.
Before the sale or final disposition of the vehicle(s) as set forth in Article I of Chapter 44A of the North Carolina General Statutes, you have the right to request a hearing before the county magistrate for the purpose of determining if probable cause existed for removal of the Vehicle(s). The request for the hearing must be filed in writing with the county magistrate. If the county magistrate does not rule in your favor, you have the right to appeal that ruling in the district court.
You have the right to redeem the vehicle(s) at any time before the sale or final disposition of the vehicle(s) but you must pay for all cost incurred or post a bond for doubled the amount of the incurred cost. Proof of ownership must be presented. If you redeem the vehicle(s) you shall not allow or engage in further violation of the above ordinance.
