1442.07 CONDITIONS OF PERMIT.
A permit issued shall be construed to be a license to proceed with the work. It shall not be construed as authority to violate, cancel, alter or set aside any of the provisions of this Building and Housing Code or other applicable laws, ordinances, rules or regulations, nor shall such issuance of a permit prevent the Building Commissioner from thereafter requiring a correction of errors in plans or in construction, or a correction of violations of this Building and Housing Code or of other applicable laws, ordinances, rules or regulations. The Commissioner shall not incur any personal liability or expense upon the Village, nor shall the Commissioner or the Village be estopped to enforce this Building and Housing Code or the Zoning Code, or be deemed to have waived any defects or violations of law by virtue of his or her prior approval of any plan or specification later determined by him or any other authority to be in contravention of this Building and Housing Code or other applicable laws, ordinances, rules or regulations.
