230.01 EXECUTIVE POWERS; AUTHORITY RE EMPLOYEES.

   (a)   The Mayor shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Village. Unless otherwise provided, the Mayor shall have the right to appoint, promote, demote or remove all full-time Village employees, subject to the approval of Council.

   (b)   The office of the Mayor shall be a full-time position and shall be paid a salary as established by Council, together with hospitalization and other health insurance benefits as specified in Section 254.05, and use of a Village automobile as specified in Section 254.13.

   (c)   The Mayor shall serve as the Village Safety Director.
