339.12 COMMERCIAL VEHICLE OPERATION IN CURB LANE; EXCEPTIONS.
   (a)   When signs are erected giving notice thereof, commercial vehicles shall be operated in the curb lane only, except when required to use center lanes to negotiate left turns or if curb lanes are obstructed.
   (b)   The provisions of this section do not apply to vehicles having a gross weight of less than three tons.
   (c)   The Director of Public Safety is authorized and directed to erect and place traffic control devices in conformance with this section.

   (d)   Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
