331.46 OBEDIENCE TO TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL WHEN EMERGING FROM PRIVATE PROPERTY.
   (a)   The operator of a vehicle about to enter or cross a street from a private road, driveway, alley or street or building, in addition to stopping and yielding the right of way to all traffic approaching on such street, shall not enter an area of the street controlled by a traffic control signal between the traffic control signal’s crosswalks until the traffic control signal shows a green or yellow signal to such operator facing the traffic control signal.

   (b)   Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
