158.05 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

   The Committee shall advise and assist the City on matters to include but not be exclusive of the following:

   (a)   Advising the City regarding general policy related to the operation and uses of telecommunication services to maximize the benefits to subscribers and users.

   (b)   Encouraging the use of access channels among the widest range of institutions, groups and individuals within the City.

   (c)   Providing assistance in the negotiation and implementation of franchise agreements.

   (d)   Establishing customer service standards and complaint procedures.

   (e)   Promoting public awareness and related activities.

   (f)   Keeping abreast of changes and additions to telecommunication laws, rules and regulations and providing informational assistance to City officials upon request.

   (g)   Coordinating cooperation with other political subdivisions and agencies.

   (h)   Providing any other services within the City as required from time to time.
