137.05 INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT FUNCTIONS OF DEPARTMENT.

   The functions of the Department of Industrial and Community Development as they relate to the development of industry in the City shall include the following:

   (a)   Be responsible for the relocation of industry and business that may in the future be required to relocate because of certain public improvements or other necessities and help in the relocation of these businesses and industries within the City.

   (b)    Be responsible to remain in communication with all businesses and industries within the City to help provide assistance when required or requested in their expansion or relocation within this community.

   (c)    Be responsible to promote the development and/or relocation of light industry in the newly created Industrial Park in the southeast portion of the City.

   (d)    Be responsible to lay out plans and to aid in any way possible light industrial firms who might wish to relocate within the Industrial Park.

   (e)    Be responsible to help place industry and business in any other locations throughout the City that are presently zoned for such usage. Be responsible to prepare information, brochures and other data, and make such information available upon request to industry, business, real estate brokers, land developers and others upon request, pertaining to the assets and benefits to industry and business that might consider relocating in the City.
