121.01 MAYOR'S ORDER OF SUCCESSION.
   In the event the President of Council is unable for whatever reason, to perform as Acting Mayor as described in Article II, Section 6 of the Charter, the following shall be the order of succession, with each named successor while performing as Acting Mayor to have all the duties, rights and powers of the Mayor as described in Article II, Section 6 of the Charter.
   (a)    If the President of Council is unable to serve, for whatever reason, as Acting Mayor, the President pro tem of the Council shall serve as Acting Mayor with the duties, rights and powers described in Article II, Section 6 of the Charter.
   (b)    In the event that the President of Council or the President pro tem of Council are unable to serve, for whatever reason, as Acting Mayor, the Councilmen-at-Large as a class shall be eligible to serve as Acting Mayor with the duties, rights and powers described in Article II, Section 6 of the Charter.
      (1)    The order of succession among the Councilmen at large shall be as follows: The Councilman-at-large with the most seniority as determined by length of elected service shall be first eligible and shall serve as Acting Mayor.
      (2)    If the length of elected service is equal among the councilmen-at-large, the councilman who is oldest by birthday among the councilmen-at-large shall serve as Acting Mayor.
   (c)    In the event that the President of Council, the President pro tem of Council and the councilmen-at-large are all unable, for whatever reason, to serve as Acting Mayor, the ward councilmen as a class shall be eligible to serve as Acting Mayor with the duties, rights and powers described in Article II, Section 6 of the Charter.
      (1)    The order of succession among the ward councilmen shall be as follows: The ward councilman with the most seniority as determined by length of elected service shall be first eligible and shall serve as Acting Mayor.
      (2)    If the length of elected service is equal among the ward councilmen, the councilman who is oldest by birthday among the ward councilmen shall serve as Acting Mayor.
